International Economic Development



  • Formulate of the national industry policy for Leather and Leather Goods 2018 in Bangladesh under the auspices of the Ministry of Industries (Government of Bangladesh). The policy’s objectives were to outline the steps required for protection of the environment, best use of technology and the essential development of the skills required in order to compete successfully with the aim to increase export earnings from US$1.23bn to US$5.5bn by 2023.Integrated Industrial Development Plan (IIDP) supported by UNDP and Ministry of Trade with main tasks: Provide sector-specific expertise supported by pre-feasibility studies and set methodology to achieve project's objective of establishing industrial park ensure that output reflects national and international best practices.
  • Study Tour to Vietnam for the Bangladesh Delegates comprises of governmental agencies and Trade Business Associations of the Leather sector. The study was to assess best practices and potential business cooperationDesign an Investment plan for research, design and training institute for the leather sector in Bangladesh. This covers the preparation of a concept note for the development of an investment plan for a research, design and training institute or other options for skills development and to ensure that said recommended plan is based on international best practices for the leather industry


Productivity Improvement



  • Restructure manufacturing facilities towards creating world-class manufacturing operations in footwear, home textiles, apparel export factories, worldwide.
  • Turnkey solution projects: development, implementation and management of all operations from infrastructure and construction to finished shipped product for factories in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh. Project areas include product flow layout electrical/ pneumatic/steam schematics including purchasing and costing recruitment, management and staff training management systems, etc.
  • National capacity assessment studies in several countries (Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, India, Jamaica and Dominican Republic). Analyze desired against existing capacities and generate better understanding of needs formulation of improvement plan to achieve desired capacities. ​
  • Act as national Lead consultant in several Asian countries to develop ability of local consultants in Sri Lanka to conduct improvement programs amongst factories through promotion of Lean manufacturing and other best industry practices.
  • Productivity and social enhancement projects: Promote social, environmental and production standards develop road map and action plan to achieve same. Project resulted in very promising improvements in overall factory efficiency and worker wages.


Lean Manufacturing



  • Expert lean manufacturing excellence programs, primarily Asia: Develop strategic plan and sub-strategies to create competitive platform for several major buyers of textile, apparel and footwear products amongst their vendors in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, China, Vietnam, South Africa and Mauritius.
  • Strategic planning and programs development for several retailers and brands. Design and initiate productivity improvement programs amongst ASDA/George factories in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and China.
  • Develop training curriculum in Lean manufacturing and train newly graduated engineers to work as industry-wide consultants. Provide customized road map to transform manufacturing facilities into world-class competitive suppliers.
  • Promote to enhance productivity, quality and social enhancement programs via Lean manufacturing principles in order to reduce costs and shorten lead time for Li & Fung factories in Asia producing apparel and footwear for Kohl’s USA.
  • Wide number of lean transformation amongst footwear, textile and apparel around the export-world.
  • Lean Impact Assessment covering Jewelry supply chain, develop strategies and operational plan to create long-term industrial relationships, design framework and provide guidance to linkages between manufacturers and upstream suppliers.
